2018 Tree Planting

Ann Koenig of the Department of Conservation presented a reimbursement check to Larry Vincent, our Chairman of the Board for the Housing Authority.  The Department of Conservation Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (TRIM) program awarded a Grant in the Amount of $8443.64 to the Housing Authority.  Trees were purchased and planted on Dulle and Buena Vista Streets in Jefferson City. The Housing Authority worked with the Jefferson City Forestry staff, and Mission JC, to plant the trees on April 29, 2018.

Sunday April 29, 2018 over 40 volunteers planted, mulched, watered and staked 48 trees on Dulle and Buena Vista Streets as a part of Mission JC

The trees were provided by the Missouri Dept of Conservation as part of the TRIM tree grant program.

Oaks, maples, bald cypress and honey locust trees were planted near homes and on the playground to provide shade and color to the neighborhood when they mature.
